How to handle y = 0 tic for a special formatted label

Suppose I have a script like this

set terminal png enhanced
set output "test.png"
set ytics format "%.1t 10^{%S}"
set ytics 5000
set mytics 5
set xrange [0:16000]
plot x

Which gives the following.  Sample figure

I make big ticks as well as small ticks. However, tic at zero looks ugly, so I would like to modify or delete it.

I have tried set ytics (5000,10000,15000). It is possible, but then I lose the minor ticks. Also, I don't want to post ticks manually.

So the solution to this problem will be

  • delete y=0tic or
  • change set ytics formator
  • adds minor ticks for manual main ticks, but this is not possible according to the manual.

Another solution that I didn’t even think about, of course, is appreciated!

0 tic set ytics ('0' 0):

set ytics format "%.1t 10^{%S}"
set ytics 5000
set ytics add ('0' 0)
set mytics 5
set xrange [0:16000]
plot x

. tic .
