Team Foundation Server: Assign a work item to a group, not an individual user

In TFS 2010, is there a way I can assign a work item to a group (for example, developers or designers) instead of a single user? I would also like to be able to create a query so that we can also filter this group.

Yes, you can. If your group is a member of a larger group that you can assign, it will appear in the list of assignable users.

For example, a user hierarchy might be:

[Assignable Users]
  [Developers]
  [Project Managers]
  Mark Avenius
  Joe Schmoe

, Assigned To @Me, , , , .
