Can Phonegap query the Wi-Fi system and return the network names?

Question

I checked the Phonegap API, but what I would like to receive, having received the list of available Wi-Fi networks, does not seem to be supported.

Does anyone know if this is even possible in the current state?

You cannot currently get a list of available Wi-Fi networks.

PhoneGap will support reading the currently connected network SSID through api system information ( http://www.w3.org/TR/system-info-api/#network ).

If you want to list all Wi-Fi networks today, you have to write the PhoneGap plugin - if these APIs are really available on the devices you are interested in.
