Images do not display in Chrome / Webkit

I am creating a webpage with a bunch of images that are all from Rackspace Cloudfiles on my CDN Limelight. Sometimes a page finishes loading, including images, and Chrome / Webkit cannot display some images at all.

Chrome doesn’t display the “broken image” in its place, and if I navigate to the Resources tab in the Inspector, they will be listed and all data will be downloaded. Raw images show the same information as correctly displayed.

This usually happens when I go to the page and then come back (through the story). It is saved if I reload the page, unless I do a hard update (⌘⇧R in Chrome), then they all reappear as usual.

I do not load images in JavaScript or something strange, and I do not have CSS that hides images. This only happens in Chrome, and it doesn't happen in incognito mode, from what I can say.

Any ideas what causes this? If this is a bug, how do I report this to the Chrome team?

Update

I checked the headers on the Inspector’s Network tab and it turned out that for the images that are displayed, Chrome only shows the header metadata, for example:

Headers

And for images that don’t display correctly, metadata is displayed along with full status request and response headers 304 Not Modified.

This is still happening. On multiple computers on multiple websites. There thread about this also happens on the Google support forums.

I had the same problem with thumb images using the latest chrome. From time to time, images were visualized. I changed the image style:

width: 150px; height: 100%;

to

width: 150px; height: auto;

And "height: auto" fixed the bug in Chrome. I hope that the solution found will help in some cases.
