What are the alternatives for the switches?

I have not seen any switches for a long time. Are they really used, and if so, where are they used and who used them?

What are the best alternatives for a switch? What can you use instead of switches?

I only needed to look at the Settings page on my GMail account before I found the radio button on the Internet.

The only other widget that provides the simple “Choose one of many options” option in an HTML document is an element <select>.
