Equivalent to "int 3" on ARM / iOS processors

I'm looking for an equivalent

__asm__ int 3

for ARM / iOS processors when I debug a physical device. Is it BKPT? All I want to do is stop the processor so that I can then go through or continue execution at that point, as I can, using int 3.

According to the answer to the question, Inclusion in the debugger on the iPhone is equivalent asm("trap"). But see other answers for different methods.

Especially study conditional breakpoints , which are a less invasive method.
