Liferay Portlet Development Suggestions

We are in the process of evaluating some of the frameworks for developing portlets. At the moment, I know below 3 options. I would like to know your experience with them and other people.

  • Struts 2
  • Spring MVC Portlet
  • Liferay 6.x MVC Framework

Try to share the pros and cons in the following areas, as well as what you consider important.

  • Development speed
  • Service
  • Ease of development with distributed Geo teams.

Please offer any other framework that can be used as alternative with some advantages / disadvantages.
