Tablet detection

Well, I have good advice for Mobile Detection , but still a problem with thematic tablets, as the icons will be larger for viewing the tablet, and then for the mobile device. I use jQueryMobile as a framework and it detects an iPad (and I'm sure other tablets are on the way), but how can I determine if it is a tablet or a mobile device? would i just go with screen size?

If this is the case, what is the largest screen size for a mobile device or the smallest screen for a tablet?

is there a better way?

We are starting development using Formfactor detection libraries such as FormfactorJS - mind you, I created this.

In a theory using the same semantic HTML, you can specialize your CSS and Javascript using devices for this class (smartphone, tablet, desktop, etc.), and also consciously respond to an individual device profile using Media Queries .
