How to display a toast inside a timer?

I want to display a toast message inside a timer, and I used the following code:

timer.scheduleAtFixedRate( new TimerTask()
{       
public void run()
{
    try {  
        fun1();
        } catch (Exception e) {e.printStackTrace(); }            
    }   
}, 0,60000);    

public void fun1()
{
    //want to display toast
}

And I get the following error:

You cannot create user interface updates within a separate thread, such as Timer. You must use the Handler object to update the user interface:

timer.scheduleAtFixedRate( new TimerTask() {
