Why does the android application restart if we use the back button to exit?

When you save the home button and return the application, the application does not restart. Why does it restart if we use the back button? Is there any way to resolve this by receiving the application without restarting if we use the back button to exit? Please, help

When you press the button Home, the application pauses and the current state is saved, and finally, the application freezes in any state. After that, when the application starts, it resumes from the last point at which it was saved.
