I'm new to VCS, and I was wondering if people could help me better start with this. so far I read about SVN and the bazaar, tried the SVN turtle with the subbersion edge from the collaborator (only at home, used my computer as a server and laptop as a client), and tried the bazaar with a launch pad. and having tried it, I mean just checking projects, editing a bit, checking how to update, etc. only basic things. I do this for the programming club that we do at school, so I think I'm asking now, what do you think is better from the experience of cheers? bazaar or svn? because the simple commands I tried didnβt show much difference, and the Kommassion I read were a bit confusing.
and one more thing, I think I should start from the command line instead of the GUI? I used the command line with the bazaar, did not find it so difficult, but wondered why it seems that the command seems to be used? how does this give more control? Thanks in advance:)
For small / personal projects, itβs easier to access a distributed version control system like Bazaar because you donβt have to go through the server setup, although having a second backup location for your repository is usually a good idea - I never want to lose the hard work that I did .
