Web and Mobile browsing best practices of the same controller or namespace?

I’m looking for a guide on best practices for developing a web application with regular views and mobile views. The mobile version will have less functionality, but there will be many view files.

Was it better to split the entire application into two projects or create a namespace? Or just save everything inside one set of controllers?

If the functionality is not much different, I would leave the application as is and create a mobile responder that will display the pages of mobile sites.
