I had the same error, and I tried everything under the sun, including what was on the link discussions.apple.comabove. For me, the problem was that in Keychain Access, the actual Apple WWDR certificate was marked as Always Trust . This should be System Defaults . This also applies to development and distribution certificates. If any of them are incorrectly set to Always Trust , this may cause this problem.

"iPhone Developer", "Always Trust". "System Defaults" !:-)

I was also able to get it working by selecting "System Defaults"
