Writing Applications for Apple TV 2G

Question

In my company (the mobile home of developers) there are several high-definition televisions in which we bought Apple TV 2G for (which are hacked). We use them to display slide shows of products, information, etc., as well as video playback.

Since we are developing iOS applications as part of our business, I would really like for me to write something for Apple TV to use on our internal monitors. I don’t know where to start - for obvious reasons, most of our work is to write applications for distribution in the application store, so the development of software for jailbroken iOS is new to me.

In addition, most of the resources for developing jailbroken applications for iPad / iPhone devices - I think not many people are interested in writing applications for ATV2, probably because there is not much ATV jailbreak in the wild. Does anyone have good starting points for me - an experienced iOS developer who wants to learn apps for jailbroken devices, especially Apple TV? More in terms of a general approach.

As you know, Apple TV is currently not loading Apple TV applications. But the iPad and current iPhone / iPod have a TV-out, so you can develop a special application and use them instead.

With iPad 2 (and iPhone 5), you will also have a TV-out for each application (in a copy of the screen) so that you can also use it. And it will be easier and documented than trying to develop on an unauthorized jaibroken device.
