Background compilation, really. Visual Studio constantly compiles your code as you type them, with less softness than the standard compiler, since your code is not yet complete. Please note that in addition to adding a new member to the class when they are added, it also immediately detects errors in your code. If you did this before VS 2008 SP1, you would rather envy VB camp
