Android FileNotFoundException gets thrown from URL.openStream ()

I have an application that connects to a web service. I have one user with LG Optimus T who gets a FileNotFoundException whenever an application tries to connect to a web service on their device. I know that the device is connected to the Internet because it sent me some of the output from this event, and I see that my application has successfully connected to other web services. I went to the local T mobile phone store and tested my application on both 3G and Wi-Fi, and it works fine for me (the user works only on Wi-Fi, he does not have access to 3G) was there a problem with the .openStream () url throws FileNotFound throws, although the url is valid and the device is connected to the Internet? If so, how did you resolve it?
