My Nexus One has this:
- Settings include the “Voice” recognizer settings “in the“ Voice input and output settings ”list.
- Google Search has a microphone next to it, so when I touch this dialog box will tell me that I want to perform a search.
On the emulator (API level 8, Android 2.2), however, none of this was found.
Not part of Android 2.2 Voice Search? If so, why is it found on my Nexus One (Froyo), but not on the emulator?
What do I need to do to make Voice Input and Output Settings available?
Update 1 . I followed the instructions for creating recognition recognition AVDs as suggested below, but I still get the message "Recognizer no present":

What else do I need to do?
Is it possible that despite installing the Google API from Google Inc., Android API 8, version 2 and creating a special AVD with it, I still need to install the Voice Search application from the Android Market?
Update 2 . I performed Michael's fix to install the Google Voice Search app. This solved the "Recognizer no present" problem, but now I had a new problem:

The Talk Again application sentence is fictitious: the same error message appears again and again over the conversation.
