Performance Guide VS 2010

I begin to research the performance profiler in VS 2010 and find it difficult to find it useful. I understand that this is most likely because I am not familiar with the tool.

What I'm looking for is a way to identify the most time-consuming method calls. Many times, it will simply define ASP.NET methods as the worst offenders, such as ProcessRequest, etc., and it is difficult to narrow it down to the actual method, which takes so much time.

I would just like to identify the calls in my code that take the longest to execute.

Any pointers would be appreciated. Thank!
