Is there an artificial intelligence (AI) programming scheme for game software developers? I am specifically looking for a library of object-oriented classes that I can use in the game. In particular, I would like to know how to best program decision making NPCs that are purely object oriented. I googled and got a lot of useless links to machine learning and theoretical AI sites that have absolutely nothing to do with practical software development. Any framework I found is either outdated or too academic to be useful. In particular, I am looking for Java or Objective-C libraries.
