I was hoping to use the Qt plugin with Eclipse. Installation is very simple - just expand the tarball in the appropriate directory. After that, I can see the trolltech folders in eclipse / features and eclipse / plugins. However, when I try to create a project, I see no signs of Qt. Also, I do not see Qt being listed in the list of installed plugins or functions in the installed software.
Eclipse: Galileo Build 3.5.2
CDT: 6.0.0.2
O / S: Ubuntu 10.10 i686 2.6.35-28-generic
Tarball plugin: qt-eclipse-integration-linux.x86.1.6.1.tar.gz from here: http://qt.nokia.com/developer/eclipse-integration/
Running Eclipse with -consolelog -debug did not offer any enlightenment
Are there any Qt plugins from the date of use?
Update
Installing in / usr / share / eclipse is a bug
Installation in / usr / lib / eclipse works
I would suggest that the instructions on the Qt page may use some revision. Instead of saying:
Find your eclipse / plugins folder
Maybe it’s better to add: the eclipse folder should contain the eclipse executable, eclipse.ini, the plugins directory and the functions directory.
This would prevent me from being tricked by / usr / share / eclipse, which has a function directory and a plugin directory, but this is the wrong place to install additional plugins.
