Brainfuck and Whitespace and analogies are certainly correct.
On the other hand, any language that supports (parens) is not regular, since an automaton that recognizes it needs a stack. And I really don’t know many languages without support () {} [], which will do something more than build.
The only real example that comes to mind and is probably regular, Forth .
