Ok, I'm going to draw a lot of “insects” on the screen. My question is: if I draw a spider, for example, it’s faster to load a bitmap, select it at the right angle and draw on the screen (again and again) or draw ant using the canvas. drawLine, drawCircle etc.? For direct comparison:
Bitmap: 500 bytes with transparency
Drawn: 8 drawLines, 2 drawCircles
I already have a lot of things going on, so performance is very important here.
