HTML5 attachment for Mobile Safari on iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4

I have an H.264 / AAC encoded video in the mp4 file on the server, the mime-type video / mp4 is added to the web server (IIS 7), and I have a page with the video tag:

<video id="html5-video" width="360" height="202" poster="/images/poster.png" controls>
    <source src="/video/Web-360x202-14MB.mp4" type="video/mp4">
</video>

Works great on iPhone 4, but on iPhone 3GS (same version of iOS, 4.3.2) only the poster image is displayed, and clicking on it does not start the video.

When I try to open the video file directly, I get a hint from the Mobile Safari Developer Console:

Another tip

Quicktime

Unable to play movie

What is needed for HTML5 video to work on iPhone 3GS? Is this an encoding problem?

I had the same problem, but all of these fixes did not work. Ultimately, everything was done to remove the htaccess protection that I used for these files. The previous answer is right, but this will fix any htaccess security issues.
