Print Bidi Text for Image

Question

I have code in Python using PIL that will print UTF-8 characters for an image.

I noticed that for attaching Bidi scripts such as Arabic, the same code cannot correctly connect characters (only source forms are selected, medial and final forms are not used)

Can anyone recommend a method or method to solve this problem?

If you want to continue using PIL, use pyarabicshapingwith pybidior you may consider switching to pangocairowhich one you use HarfBuzzto format text.

I did the following: Python + Wand (Python Lib) + arabic_reshaper (Python Lib) + bidi.algorithme (Python Lib). The same applies to PIL / Pillow , you need to use arabic_reshaperand bidi.algorithmand pass the generated text to draw.text((10, 25), artext, font=font):
