HTML5 & CSS - a question about media queries

I was wondering if anyone could explain what each of the media queries in the example below means in simple words?

Here are some examples.

media="not screen and (color)"
media="projection, screen and (color)"
media="only projection and (color)"

To analyze what media queries mean, you basically need to remember the following:

  • A comma means "or."
  • An unbiased thing at the beginning of a media query is the name of the medium to which the query is being executed (unless that word is "or" only, in which case the second word is the means involved.
  • "no" cancels everything until the next comma.
  • Things in parens are modifiers.
