I have been a web developer for a long time, starting to use Git and Github for my first project. I installed my Github repository, added a README file, transferred it, and clicked on my original wizard. Now it is visible in the Github. I assume that now I want to either pull, or extract, or clone it on my live site. Development is performed in a separate staging area of the same server, so I’m sure that the changes that I make and make will be OK for the real site. I am not part of the team, and this is a small project, so I'm just interested in maintaining a backup copy of the code and tracking changes.
Am I on the right track? I have tried several articles, but I don’t think I understand it.
Thanks for any advice.
