VMWare Fusion: How to merge vmdk files with numbered number into -flat.vmdk file?

I am on Mac 10.6.6 using VM Ware Fusion 3.1.2. I created a Windows 7 image, but when I look at the files that make up the image, there are 21 “extents” files — for example, files with names like

Windows 7-s001.vmdk Windows 7-s002.vmdk Windows 7-s003.vmdk ...

Ultimately, I want to convert this to what VirtualBox will use, and so for this I need to get one vmdk file (-flat.vmdk). Does anyone know how to generate a single file based on the multiple files that I have now?

Thanks - Dave

For those who (as I did), it may be here how to do it in ESXi (CLI): None vmware-vdiskmanager. Use instead vmkfstools:

vmkfstools --clonevirtualdisk source.vmdk dest.vmdk
