Java: getting a font with a specific height in pixels

It is easy to determine the displayed font height using FontMetrics, but what about a different way? How to get a font that will correspond to a certain height in pixels?

"Give me Verdanaa size that is high 30 pixels from clip to descender."

How do I set Java for this?

I do not think that there is a β€œdirect” way to find the font in height; only in an indirect way ... by scrolling through the dimensions, and checking the height of each of them is <= the required height.
