Session variables between controllers and action methods

I have almost the same scenario described by Nathon Taylor in ASP.NET MVC - sharing session state between controllers . The problem is that if I save the path to the images inside the session variable List<string>, it will not be defined in the ItemController, so all the paths will be lost ... Here is my setting:

Inside ImageController I have a Upload () action method:

Then inside my ItemController, I have a New () action method that has the following code:

            imageNames = Session[SessionKeys.Images] as List<string>;

            foreach (var name in imageNames)
            {

Okay, so why is this happening and how can I solve it?

Do you use it besides accessing HttpContext.Currentdirectly in your code? In other words, are there any places where you enter HttpContextfor the sake of bullying in unit tests?

If you access it directly in your methods, then there is no reason to enter a record x.For<HttpContext>().HttpContextScoped().Use(HttpContext.Current);when you start the application. I wonder if it will start working if you delete it.
