Protobuf-net and wcf web apis

Question

I have not used wcf web api yet. The demo version of Glenn Block in MIX11 looked very beautiful, so I will definitely understand this.

In the meantime, I wonder how this can be used with protocol buffers (mainly for performance reasons). The idea would be to create a MIME type of application / x -protobuf (or equivalent).

I think we could:

• get rid of soap-based attributes
• Define a custom multimedia processor that serializes / deserializes messages from protobuf-net.

Do you think this will work?
