Migrating authentication from an ASP site to a JSP

I have an asp.net site that uses the same database as another JSP site. The JSP site makes some messages, and the asp site is used to enter data. What I need is when a user logs into asp.net and clicks on one of these common identifiers, I want to transfer them to jsp to show a report without forcing them to log in again. The username and password for the jsp site are exactly the same as asp, since they use the same user table. The JSP site is 3-4 years old, and I do not experience this. Therefore, if someone can help me here.
