Designing for Android - Resolution?

I am developing an Android application, and the main devices that we are targeting are the Nexus S and Galaxy Tab, so I wonder what resolution should I develop and which PPI should I use? I would use photoshop.

Surprisingly, I could not find any decent PSD template for Android, although there are tons for iOS, or maybe I'm just not looking at the right place?

Many thanks

The Nexus S and Galaxy Tab have screens HDPI. Layout Dimensions:

  • Nexus S: Normal
  • Galaxy Tab: Large

HDPI 240 DPI.

pixels = dips * (density / 160)

HDPI pixels = dips * 1.5, - .

, 16x16 Normal (MDPI) 24x24 HDPI .

:

  • Nexus S: 480x800
  • Galaxy Tab: 1024x600
