Is urlscan.ini iisreset update required?

I am wondering if I need to do iisreset when updating urlscan.ini file. Is this required, or will IIS immediately pick up the new ini file?

It depends on the version of UrlScan. The UrlScan help site says:

UrlScan 3.0 has added change notifications for the UrlScan.ini file, so there is no need to restart IIS after updating your UrlScan.ini file.

Therefore, IIS is not required to restart.

in my case the URLscan config wasnt been loaded until I reset iis, I have URLScan 3.1 with Windows 2008 R2 and IIS 7.5
