Norton Antivrus marks my installer foobar_revision_1922.exeimproperly as a threat because it has Very few users (less than 5 in the Norton community, WS.Reputation.1 ) and quarantines the file. Has anyone encountered such a situation?
foobar_revision_1922.exe
What is the best way to prevent Norton from exiting? It seems tedious and catch-22.
For future releases, such as foobar_revision_2116.exe, I need five trusted users of the new version to be quarantined.
foobar_revision_2116.exe
If I rename all editions to a common file name foobar_installer.exe, this will remove useful version information, and I believe that the file size is stored by Norton, and it still fails.
foobar_installer.exe
Suggestions?
Thank.
Edit:I found the answer after a little search - https://submit.symantec.com/whitelist/ . Symantec has a white program
