Launch gnu screen with existing running program

Question

Let's say I forgot to start the screen at the beginning of the login, I started the program like emacs, I have a lot of files open, now I want to attach it to the screen session. Is there any way to do this? Or do I need to exit emacs, start the screen, and then start emacs again, opening my work from the very beginning?
