Interprocess communication in c / C ++

I am currently using a message queue to transfer a message between two processes, but I am pushing a maximum size of 32k. Which is the best option. Fragmenting the message and then re-combining or using TCP / IP sockets to communicate between processes or anything that you guys could help me.

Only you can determine the correct answer, but unix domain sockets are probably your best alternative if you do not want to split / reconstruct messages. Shared memory will be faster, but has headaches associated with it.
