Saving the state of a program (visual studio 2008)

I am debugging (in Visual Studio 2008) a utility written in C ++. The combination of massive input files with my slow machine, and it can take up to 6 hours to get to the point where I need to watch the program run for bumps.

I’m probably grabbing a straw here, but does anyone know about a function or plugin or something in Visual Studio or something like where I can save the execution state of the program so that I can bypass the time it takes to to get to where I need to be?
