OAuth on webapp behind a firewall - is this possible?

I am trying to create a webapp to add events to the Google calendar for employees and would like to use OAuth for authentication.

However, my webapp is forced to be on the intranet behind the firewall; the server has outgoing access to the Internet, but blocks access on the host if you are not on the intranet or VPN on the intranet.

I am reading OAuth but I can’t figure out if part of the authentication process will be blocked by my firewall. (And I would like to know if this is possible before wasting time doing it, if it is not possible, and I know that if I run into errors, I can debug them).

OAuth should work fine on http using POST and GET, and if your client can set the Authorizatioon header. The client should create all the requests and as long as it follows the redirects, it should be good - never (as far as I know) the case when an external server initiates an incoming connection.

For extra confidence, try OAuth with an existing third-party service because of your firewall. This looks like a good starting point, and this is the final guide for tracking OAuth call flows.
