If a basic, sample GWT application takes 30 seconds to load in a browser, is that normal? Will real applications take 2 minutes?

I have a decent machine that can work with the 64-bit version of Windows 7. So, how can I stop the small GWT application with the sample in "development mode", edit it and restart, it takes 30 seconds to become responsive in the browser, as in the latest Firefox, and the latest Chrome?

Is this molasses-based data processing method just the usual expected thing for GWT developers at the moment?

Will it be much worse for more realistic applications, or all these 30 seconds is just infrastructure overhead, and my own code will not make it much more bloated than in the near future?

Is it possible to fix this problem using some other β€œmode” or any other configuration solution?

Do Google people have much faster machines than me, on which it is smaller, or do they suffer like everyone else?

I think my answer is in the form of a question: "Are you sure you really need to restart at all?"

Assuming you run it in a browser (as it sounds like you do), most of the changes are β€œhot” almost immediately after they are completed. Yesterday I made all kinds of changes to the main code file in the module and did not have to restart the server for any of them.
