HTML5 Cache and Prefetch

One thing that I do not fully understand is that the cache manifest also acts as a prefetch when it is online for all of the files listed.

For example, let's say I visit:

/page1.html

Each of the pages on my site will have the same ad:

<html manifest="/cache.manifest">

In the cache manifest file, I:

CACHE MANIFEST
/page2.html
/page3.html
/page4.html

So, what happens, I am first in / page 1.html, and when I am online, my browser will know that pages 2-4 are caching. And when I am disconnected and I am on pages 2-4, everything will load just fine, because it is already cached.

. /page 1.html, STILL /page 2.html, - /page 2.html, , /cache.manifest? , prefetch, firefox?

I think it takes it from the manifest file, even if you're online :). Can't you try downloading the file and then going to the page?
