WPF TabControl How to change mouse tab, not mouse down?

Question

In WPF TabControl, the default behavior is to change the selected tab with the mouse down.

In my application, changing the tab sometimes changes size, and from time to time the mouse up event will be raised in another user control as the tabcontrol move has been moved.

If I can set the tab pages to switch only to the mouse, not the mouse, this would solve the problem.

You can use your own TabItem, for example:

public class MyTabItem : TabItem {

    protected override void OnMouseLeftButtonDown(MouseButtonEventArgs e) {
        if (e.Source == this || !this.IsSelected)
            return;

        base.OnMouseLeftButtonDown(e);
    }

    protected override void OnMouseLeftButtonUp(MouseButtonEventArgs e) {
        if (e.Source == this || !this.IsSelected)
            base.OnMouseLeftButtonDown(e); // OR just this.Focus(); OR this.IsSeleded = true;

        base.OnMouseLeftButtonUp(e);
    }
}
