We have a project to create a web application with many functions, such as: integration of Google maps, review and product rating (for example, eBay rating), chatting among users, search for content based on the estimated value of the content, integration with Facebook (for login, liked content, choice of friends, etc.), batch and real-time notification via SMS and email and many others.
We have two candidates for this zend and drupal, I tried to find a detailed comparison between them without luck; just found high level products.
Our criteria are to use a product that does not require a lot of custom development and satisfies most of the needs out of the box, and it should be reliable and easy to maintain and expand in the future.
I would really appreciate it if someone could shed some light on the zend vs drupal comparison and point to any useful recent analysis already done on this.
What are the real benefits of zend?
