Automatically update non-Google Play solutions

I have a private application that will be installed from about 500 to 1000 phones. I am worried about how I am going to update all of these. I do not want to list it on Google Play (since this is a private application). I also read this question , but this is due to the fact that I am starting the server for this.

Is there an online alternative by which I can send my updates and they distribute it to my devices?

I absolutely agree with Katarina. I just want to talk more about HockeyApp.

HockeyApp is a platform used to test applications for developers. Each account comes automatically with our free plan, which offers unlimited distribution, crash reports and feedback for 2 applications - allowing you to get started and explore without any financial obligations.

The most important step is to integrate the HA SDK designed for your platform, for your case it should be Android https://rink.io/sEptDQM . Then you can use the following HA features:

  • Distribute builds
  • Testers Invitation
  • Failure Reporting
  • Show warnings for new beta versions
  • Add feedback directly to your application.
  • User metric and statistics data
  • More details

If you have any questions, please contact us at support@hockeyapp.net
