How to automatically update the MS-Access 2007 application

Question

I have a front-end Access 2007 apllication that talks to a MySql server.

I want to have a function in which an application on a user's computer can detect that there is a new version on the network (which is not difficult) and download the latest version to a local disk and run it.

Does anyone have any knowledge or experience on how to do this?

Do you really need to find out if there is a newer version?

We have a similar setup, and we just copy the interface and all the related files every time someone starts the application.
