Failed to convert type Convert to Dalvik format: Failed to execute dex: at first the shell was loaded incorrectly

I had all kinds of fancy bugs, as in the title, when I use the Android SDK and AVD Manager with Eclipse. Typically, I just unplug the phone, plug it in or shut it down and open Eclipse again, but it is frustrating. Apparently, it Conversion to Dalvik format failed: Unable to execute dex: wrapper was not properly loaded firstdoesn’t allow me to compile my application, I think this is because I tried to start the emulator with some suggestions from the emulator so slowly helped. I think I should add im running eclipse 3.5.2 on Ubuntu 11.04

Just restart eclipse and run the project. An error occurs when installing a new target version. After installation is complete, it will automatically correct the error. Re-eclipse again.

I met the same error on my Macbook. I tried one of the methods explained at this link http://techmologies.blogspot.com/2009/05/conversion-to-dalvik-format-failed-with_06.html and solved the problem.

Place the following 2 lines in the eclipse.ini file:

-vm
C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_07\bin\javaw.exe

Please change the second line according to the actual situation.

If you updated your SDK, and if you did not update the ADT plugin, it will show this error. Check it once by updating the ADT plugin

I did a new installation of Eclipse in another folder (with the same SDK folder) and imported the code into the workspace and it started working again.
