Redis: possible pool of 300+ connections?

It's hard for me to create a connection pool in Redis with 300+ connections. I use it in a volatile environment in a multi-threaded application. Does anyone have experience with such a deployment that can help me determine if this is possible? Thank.

You shouldn't have any problems on the redis side - http://jaksprats.wordpress.com/2010/09/22/12/ shows performance data for simultaneous connections up to 64k .

300 is a long way from 64k, but it is much closer to the maximum number of java threads that can reasonably handle. It depends on the equipment you use, the JVM settings, and how much each thread runs. There is not enough information in your question to know for sure, but most likely it is here that you encounter problems.
