I am making a universal application based on the Utility App template. I chose a universal application, and MainView.xib and MainView ~ iPad.xib work correctly on both types of devices.
On iPad2, when I switch to FlipsideView, it loads FlipsideView.xib, although there is an excellent FlipsideView ~ iPad.xib file in the project. By default, xib is the regular (iPhone) size and appears in the lower left corner of the iPad.
I needed to create FlipideView ~ iPad xib manually. I believe that I have xib connected correctly to IB, as it shows the same as FlipsideView.xib connections.
Over the past couple of weeks, I read several posts with similar problems and this thread responds most clearly and contains links to Apple documentation. Therefore, I know that this works for others and is documented.
The code for this section is identical to the showInfo () method in the Utility App template.
(Yes, I understand that I can manually download the iPad version of UI_USER_INTERFACE_IDIOM (). I'm trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong to get the ~ iPad modifier to work.)
Any ideas what I am missing?
