How can I minimize my QMainWindow without minimizing my QDockWidget, which I took off and floats? I want to make a small window in my GUI to keep an eye on the rest of MainWindow. MainWindow will not be on the screen, all I want to see is a DockWidget while it is floating.
A floating QDockWidget is automatically minimized when its parent QMainWindow is minimized. There is nothing you can do about it. You may need to change the QDockWidget to a QDialog (or some other QWidget) with parent = 0.
