Settings | Keyboard | Maven Goals (or right-click on the Maven target in the Maven Projects panel and select Assign Shortcut ... )

You can associate a goal Mavenwith a keyboard shortcut and complete frequently used goals with a single key stroke. In a Maven project, its goals are displayed under Maven node's goals Keymap.

So, for IntelliJ 2017 go to Settings | Keymap , then assign your shortcut to the plugins | Maven Integration | Accomplishing the Maven Goal
