Spring-json vs jackson for spring 3.0.5 framework

I am going to choose the JSON library for the spring application and want to get some pros and cons for both solutions. Of course, conditional pros and cons clearly visible :)

Thanks in advance!

If performance matters, on the Java platform there is nothing close to Jackson regarding performance (see this , this, or this as data source points). Some newer libraries (for example, "json-smart") claim to be lightweight, fast (er), but have no external validation; more often than not, as their own results do not follow best practices for measuring performance . Therefore, to find out the performance characteristics for your specific use case, test them with your own data and see how things are, besides what you do googling bit.

In my project, Spring 3.0.5 works without problems with Jackson 1.6.3 (jackson-core-asl-1.6.3.jar, jackson-mapper-asl-1.6.3.jar)
